You can begin in the whole foods market or a specialty store that sells cooking or kitchen items.

Gadgets that help slice and dice food would be nice such as a food processor or blender. A bread maker is another great suggestion. If they are really into cooking, they will need special cookware and bake ware such as a Dutch oven. If you are unfamiliar with these items or don’t cook, a great way to familiarize yourself is to check them out on the web. Many stores have sites you can go to and look up the items.

You could also treat your friend to a freshly prepared meal at a restaurant where they do the cooking right in front of you.  Foodies also enjoy taking cooking classes to learn how to create new, different and healthy dishes. Exotic foods and spices are also nice. You can buy different spices for them or give them a spice rack filled with various ones.

A gift card to a health foods store would also be nice to a great idea. A herbal garden or gift set where they can plant and grow their own herbs is wonderful. Some my have gardens filled with herbs but some may live in places where they can’t have a garden. Basil, chives, cilantro are great when paired with vegetables and salads.
