An easy way to get to know your co-workers better is to celebrate special days with them. Everyone will be made to feel special if their birthday is recognized. You might work with some professionals that are pretty straight-laced but mention their birthday and they will get just as excited as a kid. It is nice to be acknowledged and made to feel special even in the workplace. It can get boring also if all you do is work unless the work is tons of fun. There has to be a time when office workers can relax and be themselves.
Gifts have a way of making people open up. A great gift will make a person lose their composure. Some people like to celebrate outside of the office and probably visit a local restaurant or bar. They can have fun and not have to worry about offending any other co-workers that aren’t a part of the celebration. Sports can also unite co-workers and a nice idea for a birthday would be to celebrate at the park after a company softball game.
